IELTS / Cambridge Pearson Exam Preparation

The Cambridge International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an exam that tests the candidate’s English language ability.

An IELTS qualification is required by most British, Australian, Canadian and South African universities and in some American academic institutions. The IELTS qualification is also needed in order to emigrate to or work in most English-speaking countries. The focus of this course is placed on understanding the IELTS test format, and on teaching effective exam techniques. Authentic test materials are used to prepare for the test.

Remember that you need to indicate whether you are doing the Academic or the General exam and the band scores that you require.
IELTS package A – 3 x 60 minute private lessons + mock exam
Register for this course and we schedule your private lessons with our IELTS examiners at times that are convenient for you. These lessons can be done online or at Avenue English.

If you have written the exam before and need to improve your score then we suggest that you do the mock exam first followed by the private lessons.
If this is the first time that you are attempting the exam then we suggest that you have the overview lessons first and then end with the mock exam.
Overview notes are mailed to you once we have received your registration so that you have a good idea of what is expected in terms of format.
The cost for Package A is ZAR 1 500.00

IELTS package B
You can schedule a mock exam and thereafter we can discuss private lessons if needs be for any particular skill. Private lessons are
ZAR 350.00 per 60-minute lesson. These lessons can be online or at Avenue English

The cost of the mock exam is ZAR 550.00 per person

Please note that we also do preparation for the KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL and Pte Academic exams
