The Cambridge International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an exam that tests the candidate’s English language ability. An IELTS qualification is required by most British, Australian, Canadian and South African universities and in some American academic institutions. The IELTS qualification is also needed in order to emigrate to or work in most English-speaking countries. The focus of this course is placed on understanding the IELTS test format, and on teaching effective exam techniques. Authentic test materials are used to prepare for the test.
